Welcoming Spring with COS

Hello, Spring?!

If we look outside of the window these days, doesn’t seem like spring is gonna be here anytime soon – sad, I know. But hey! I’m a grown man, If spring won’t come to me, I’ll bring myself to them. For today’s post, I’ve decided to go to the closest tropical destination from Vancouver: Bloedel Conservatory. Well, at least it feels and looks tropical inside – close enough!

Hello COS!

This one, I can definitely say it! Because guess what, the wait is over! The Swedish born, London based fashion brand is officially opening its first door in Vancouver this weekend! Known for its chic minimalism (as Swedes usually are), COS offers selections of the elevated basics, which, I really need.

Jacket, Blazer, Shirt and Pants are all from COS Spring/Summer 2017 Collection

COS spring/summer 2017 collection showcases a great mix of earth-toned neutrals and colors. While the base of the pieces is fairly simple, the details added to each piece are extraordinary: knots, pleats, patches, belts, and of course, ruffles!

It’s no surprise that I opt for this tailored look, with a double breasted jacket and pleated pants. However, the fit, is something that I’m testing out for next season! Everything is a little lose(r)! There is more volume, more room, and you know what, I’m into it.

Deconstructed, light(er) fabrication seems to be the fundamental building blocks of the collection. In addition, softer hues of pastel: salmon, sage green, to the palest of pale blue are seen in a lot of the pieces.
