That would’ve been my opening line if I were in New York right now. The sad truth is, I am not. I’m currently waiting for Donna to finish work in the corner of sad, and sadder (aka the office). Juuuust cause I’m not there, doesn’t mean I can’t pretend I’m actually running around between the NYFWM shows.
I opt for a tonal chocolate look to get around
Soho Yaletown to check out shows run errands all day (Fine, I did work too, kay?!). A mix of suede on the outside, twill and flannel on the inside. As we all know, suede has been allover the runway these past couple seasons. Since today is warm and dry (thank goodness!) enough, at least here. I thought, why the hell not wear this jacket?!
Honestly, I’m still in the process of breaking in the leather so by spring time, this jacket will be as soft as butter! Note the richness of the color of the suede, making it the transitional piece everyone needs this year! (trust me on this ;))
The suit is from Indochino’s fall collection that I somehow managed to put on, comfortably (Thanks again RIDE cycle club) after the five hams and a goose I ate over the holidays! The vest is a midnight blue stretch-flannel fabric. It’s the perfect amount of color to add to the look so I don’t like a big, brown, blob.
The shoes. First of all, these are the perfect pair to complete the look – no doubt. Second of all, I watches La La Land last night and this shoes make enough noise, I can actually pretend I’m tapping my sorrow away for not being at NYFWM RN.
Well that’s my outfit for today! See you again tomorrow (hopefully) for the next part of me pretending to get around New York City!
