Not too long ago, I had the pleasure to visit the city where Tom Hanks romantically met Meg Ryan (again): Seattle! No, I did not have any romantic rendezvous during this 48 hour visit. I, however, was sleepless for a very different reason: I was busy eating, drinking, and trying on every pair of shoes in sight. Here are some places you need to visit the next time you’re in town:
London Plane is what happens when you put a bakery, a flower shop, and a bar all together in one place. Then add high ceiling, chic decor, and photogenic walls of goodies.
Eastlake cutest eatery. The lunch menu here was exceptional. Whatever you do, get the lamb (if it’s there). I don’t care what you’ve been eating that day, but get, the damn, lamb.
I have heard only great things about their dinner service, but again, I was really looking forward to that light on the windowpane ya know! #priority
Whether you’re a fan of the infamous Pumpkin Spice Latte, or a total coffee snob, it’s somewhat obligatory to visit this Starbuck’s location.
First of all, It’s probably one of the biggest Starbucks you’ll see out there (at least for now). It also is the first of its’ kind: bar, roaster, restaurant, and also a store, a massive store. Plus, It’s so effin’ pretty.
As one of Seattle’s best new restaurant, Whale Wins really lives up to the expectation. The food is simple yet delightful, the cocktails are stiff yet sophisticated.
Their sister restaurant Bateau is also a fantastic option! We actually decided to grow an extra stomach for a meat-filled dinner there. By the end of it, I could barely breathe but totes worth it.
Kind of obsessed with this bar. I mean, look at that damn wall and all the bottles! They offer an extensive list of cocktails and cocktail flights. I barely remember whatever happened after we left *whoops*
The Italian espresso machine giant has an uber chic coffeeshop set up in a massive building that also is a home for a radio station. They feature different roaster from allover the globe every month. It’s a pretty good place to help you get over that hangover from last night
I had an absolute blast eating and drinking my way through Seattle! I am sure i’m far from done exploring the city!
Soooo… Till next time Seattle!
